Elements of Teaching

Sto. Domingo Integrated School is a public school run by DepEd. It is very evident that the school lack some of the equipments and materials. Students do not belong to a well-resourced family and they were not able to provide learning resources to use in school.

All the five elements of teaching are visible inside the classroom. The teacher is very professional and has a five year experience in teaching. She is really proficient in the English language and her mastery of the subject is evident. The learners are classified as diverse students. They are all different in terms of behaviour, knowledge, skills, and ability. Although they lack in materials especially in books, they can still think of another way on how to learn the lesson. As of the moment, the school is under renovation and it causes a noisy environment and it is not conducive for learning. Last, the behavior of the teacher is very acceptable. She is understanding and considerate to her diverse learners.

For me, teaching would not be called as teaching if any of these elements will be missing. What matter most is that a teacher should know his/her students well so that they will know how to adjust. Students should put some effort so that they will achieve what they have to learn.
